COLUMBUS, Neb. - President and CEO of Nebraska Public Power District is stepping down after more than 40 years. Pat Pope began his career at NPPD in 1979 as an Electrical Engineer.
He was promoted to Vice President of Energy Deliver in 2003 and named Vice President of Energy Supply in 2004. Pope became President and CEO in April 2011. His nine years at the helm is the second longest in the 50 year history of NPPD.
NPPD expects to have current Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Kent replace Pope. This is expected to take place during the March Board of Directors meeting
